Things you used to do and that today make part of your past...Do you remember the times when you would dedicate yourself doing your very best? Even being tired, you would go running to church after work just because of the placer of serving the Lord...in the end, all the tiredness was forgotten due to the fact that God was there feeding your spirit. As time goes by, many things happen in our lives...A job comes up, a promotion at work, the opportunity of taking some courses or even finding the right person for you. What a good thing! That is just what you wanted! But, are you being grateful to God for all the things He gave you? Or have you let those things take the first spot in your life? There are so many worries that we end up forgeting God.
The One that took us out of the world, that forgave our sins, that was there when everybody left...With so many things to do, we start falling apart from God and as a consequence, we think that many things are not wrong at all: things such as listening to music we are not supposed to listen to, having a relashionship with someone older or going out with those all friends that belong to the world."It is not wrong, everyboby does that"-you say to yourself. That¥s weird! You go to church on wednesdays and sundays, maybe you even assist to a chain of prayer...But nothing is like it used to be! Things haven¥t been working out. Then, it is God¥s fault.
He warns us through His word when He says: "...ANY OF YOU WHO DOES NOT GIVE UP EVERYTHING HE HAS CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE."
(Luke 14:33)
If you want to follow Jesus, you have to give up all the things of the world, but without noticing, you didn¥t go back to the world, the world came back to live inside of you! That communion you held with God, all the hard work are no longer part of your life, and that essence of the first love doesn¥t exist anymore. Without perceiving it, your anointment began to decrease and you run out of strengh. You never fall from a moment to another, can you remember where it all began. Maybe you remember your personal encounter with God, but when you FELL APART from God, do you remember that?
When we fall, we are already to far. Your prayer only gets to the roof and when you seak God¥s presence, you don¥t cry tears of repentance or hapynness. Has the "modern christian" taken over you?
In the place where you work, study orlive, do people see you as a man or a woman of God? If your answers are not the ones God expects to hear, today He wants to talk to you! God chooses us and knows our defects, and still He loves us.
He sufered in the cross so all our sins could be forgiven and for us to reach His mercy. You can be a member, an assistant, but if you recognize that you need help: come back running to God. Admit your weaknesses and ask for forgiveness. Be honest and humble before God. Ask Him to help you to start over. Lift up your head, you are important to God! So, seak your reconciliation with God, because he won¥t deny you His forgiveness!
"I WILL SET OUT AND GO BACK TO MY FATHER AND SAY TO HIM: FATHER, I HAVE SINNED AGAINST HEAVEN AND AGAINST YOU. I AM
NO LONGER WORTHY TO BE CALLED YOUR SON; MAKE LIKE ONE OF YOUR HIRED MEN. SO HE GOT UP AND WENT TO HIS FATHER. bUT
WHILE HE WAS STILL A LONG WAY OFF, HIS FATHER SAW HIM AND WAS FILLED WITH COMPASSION FOR HIM, HE RAN TO HIS SON
, THREW HIS ARMS AROUND HIM AND KISSED HIM." (LUKE 15.18-20).
Think, meditate and be sincere with yourself; if you are doing well, firm,thank God for that and then WATCH for your soul.
