We hear a lot about paul and peter; they preached for thousands of people, now when it comes to andrew, his is mentioned 12 times in the Bible. However, that doesn't mean he's less important than the others, he got himself a good reputation because he would talk about God in a private way.
He would try to stay as close to Jesus as he could, trusting that Jesus would do bigger things in the future, even before meeting Him.HE followed John the Baptist and later, when he met Jesus, he followed Him (read John 1:35-40).
This is the way we have to believe and transmit the faith in Jesus: guide people to Jesus in a private way, so we'll make sure that each one of them will get to know true Love.
Andrew was born in Betsaida, and worked with his brother as a fisher. He was known as an honest and dedicated man; he introduced John to Jesus (read John 1:41).
But, do we proceed this way too? How many of your relatives and friends haven't heard you speak to them about Jesus?
Masculine
"Andrew" in greek means"masculine".As we read the word of God we can tell that he was strong, fisically speaking, and that he was loyal. He didn't use his fisical apearence to impress the crowds, instead, he just believed and guided his brother to meet Jesus.
Having faith in Christ is not something that can be forced, all we have to do is what Jesus told us to do: go and preach the Gospel(Mark 16:15).He didn't say: way for the right moment, first think about your economical situation, first buy a house and then talk about my Love. Christ just said: "go"
He just wants you to open your mouth so everyone around you will get to meet Him in an intimate and private way.
Andrew is considered to be one of the first ones to take Jesus' love to far places where he was not known (John 12:20-22). Are you ready for the words "go"?
Pay attention, Jesus wants you to give Him your life so he can use you to save others. When you let the Holy Spirit act freely in your life, you are showing that He is the Lord of your life! Think about that!

Pastor Robson Cavalcante
