One
beautiful and sunny day, a rabbit came out of his burrow with his notebook and
started to work very focus. Minutes later, a fox that was passing through that
place, saw the little rabbit, it looked very delicious. However, he felt
curious about the thing the little animal was doing and asked:
-Little
rabbit, what are you doing there, so focus?
-I am
writing my doctoral thesis- Said the rabbit without taking his eyes away from
his notebook.
-And
what is it about?
-Oh.. Is
a theory that affirms that rabbits are natural predators of foxes?
Very
indignant the fox replied: What? That is ridiculous! It is the other way
around!
-Absolutely!
come with me and all show you my tests. The rabbit and the fox got into the
burrow. Minutes later, strange noises are heard, then growls and then… silence.
Right away, the rabbit comes out, alone and once again, goes back to work on
his thesis, as if nothing would have happen. Half of an hour later, a wolf passes
by. After watching the little animal so distracted, he thanks for having his
dinner served. However, he also finds it very curious to see the rabbit working
that focus, so he asked:
-Hello
young rabbit! What are you working on so hard?
-I am
working on my doctoral thesis, wolf. I have been working on it for a long time
and it proves that we, the rabbits, are predators of some carnivorous animals.
The wolf
didn´t like that answer, so he said:
-ah! Ah!
Ah! Ah! Delicious rabbit! That isn’t correct. We, the wolves, are the ones that
eat rabbits. So stop talking…
- I am
sorry, but if you want to I can show you my experiments. Come with me to my
burrow. So both of them go inside. After a couple of minutes some noises are
heard, and then…silence.
Once
again, the rabbit comes out alone and keeps working as if nothing would have
happen. Inside the burrow there are a lot of bloody bones y dead bodies and in
the center of all the animal bones, there is an enormous lion, satisfied, well
fed, cleaning his teeth.
Moral of
the story:
1 No
matter how absurd is the subject of your thesis
2 No
matter if don´t have scientific support
3 No
matter if your experiments never prove your theory is right
4 It
doesn´t even matter if your ideas go against the most obvious logical concepts
5 What
matters is WHO IS SUPPORTING YOUR THESIS
We have
the lion of the tribe of Judah: Christ, inside our burrow: victory!
