Women of the Bible are en example for us in our daily life, that´s why every Monday we´ll post about them, just as on Sundays we´ll post about the men of the Bible.
Deborah, for example, was a brave judge, courageous and determined. A woman that was a step ahead of everyone in her time in every aspect.
She would throw herself in God´s arms and trusted that He was going to give her victory (Read Judges 4.4-16). What can we learn about her?
Today, if we are not like her, courageous and determined, we will surely will be taken by this world where professional competitiveness reigns and where people wants to satisfy their carnal apetite.
However, Deborah didn´t let herself be taken over by fear or any other situation that would come up along her way. She knew who to trust in, and for that reason she was always risking her life.
Just like her, we go through different situations that many times scare us. We go through anguish and problems and we don´t know what to do. At home, at work, there´s always someone ready to destroy our faith.
So, how to change that? The answer is in faith: see the God Deborah served in the past and that today is our God. How great He is!! We are privileged, because He is with us, now and forever. That God is the God the great heroes of faith in the past belived in.
But, Deborah does not longer exists, so we can be the ones who trust and the ones that keep their conscience clean from impurity and sin and also the ones that coose to be brave; brave to keep our faith, to fight for what we believe in and above all, to fight for our salvation.
Each one of us can become a heroe of faith in our days. All it takes is wanting to do it and then, to take an attitude.
