One day i took a taxi to the airport. We were on road when, suddenly, a black car, came out of a parking lot and jumped in front of us. The taxi driver stopped as fast as he could and luckily, got away from what could have been a terrible accident!
The driver of the other car shook his head and started shouting and insulting using all the bad words you can imagine, and even though he was nervous, he wouldn´t stop offending us.
The taxi driver only smiled and wave his hand as letting him know that he got the point.
I would like to say that he did that in a very friendly way, so i asked him: why did you do that? That guy almost ruins your car and sends us straight to the hospital!!
That´s when the taxi driver taught me something that now i call: "The law of the garbage truck"
He expain that a lot of people are like garbage trucks. They live carrying a lot of garbage: frustration, anger, traumas and desappointments. As time passes by, the garbage grows bigger, so a place is needed to get rid of it and many times, people play that role. Do not take that personal. It is not your fault!!
Just smile, wish them the best and keep going.
Don´t take that garbage and don´t even think about spreading it in your house, job or on the road. Stay calm...
That because some people do not let garbage trucks make a mess in their lives. Don´t destroy your life getting up in the morning with bad thoughts, complaining about your job. Love those who treat you right and pray for those who treat you the wrong way.
God bless you,
Pastor Robson Cavalcante
